SU Nursing strives towards excellence in nursing practice, leadership and scholarship. One of the pillars used to support this endeavour is through underpinning our postgraduate programme offering with an innovative teaching and learning? environment.
Our vision for teaching and learning at Nursing develops through that of Stellenbosch 肆客足球, i.e. to offer programmes that are characterised by quality teaching, the constant renewal of teaching and learning programmes, and the creation of effective opportunities for learning and study.
We strive to create a student-centred teaching and learning environment where teaching strategies are implemented to facilitate optimal learning and development opportunities for our students.
We use a blended learning approach in our programme offering. This means that a variety of teaching strategies are combined in presenting a programme, including face-to-face contact sessions, interactive telematic broadcasts, e-learning strategies, purpose designed study material and clinical experience.
Ultimately, the teaching and learning experience at Nursing aims to equip all graduates with the academic, professional and personal skills required to meet the healthcare needs of the South African population.
