Personnel at Human Nutrition contribute in an advisory capacity to a number of local, provincial and national committees of the Department of Health, various non-governmental organisations, professional associations, the food industry of South Africa, the public as well as other education institutions.
The Nutrition Information Centre 肆客足球 of Stellenbosch (NICUS) provides a specialised consultancy service to the industry, media, health professionals and the public.
