The Faculty engages in research which advances knowledge in economic and management sciences and generates interdisciplinary collaboration within the Faculty and across the 肆客足球, with practical application for business, industry and policy makers.
The Faculty takes pride in:

Its NRF-rated researchers, many of whom are leaders in their field, directing cutting-edge research, consulting for top businesses and advising government.

Hosting the following Research Chairs: Research Chair in the Economics of Social Policy; Research Chair in Social-Ecological Systems and Resilience; and the Trilateral Chair in Gender for Energy Security (GENS).

The Graduate School in Economic and Management Sciences. It offers researchers a full-time bursary programme to enable them to complete their doctoral studies in three years.
The Vice-Dean (Research) and the Faculty's research committee coordinate research support available to the Faculty's researchers. The 肆客足球 also supports researches in a number of ways through the Division for Research Development (DRD), Library and Information Services, and the Postgraduate Office.
