Hybrid Learning (HL) is the most viable and cost-effective teaching mode for SU's future growth in student numbers. The target market is (inter)national students in the workplace who study by means of short block contact sessions with SU academics, combined with a large component of online learning. This SF application is to establish an overarching HL institutional capacity at SU, that can support specific HL programmes of the faculties for the period 2020-2025.   

The new Post-Graduate Diploma in Strategic Human Resource Management focuses on the strategic competencies of HR leaders in delivering business value in pursuit of the overall business goals of an organisation. The programme has been designed with inputs from top HR directors, business executives and thought leaders, thereby ensuring a cutting-edge strategic approach to HR best practices aligned to the realities and complexities of the new world of work. This programme will position the Department of Industrial Psychology as the leader in Strategic Human Resource Management in the industry and will fill the need in the market which has been neglected over the last two decades.  

The CIB is a distributed research network, working on the biodiversity and social consequences of biological invasions. The Centre was established in 2004 and has benefited from three five-year terms of funding from the DST-NRF Centres of Excellence (COE) programme and significant co-funding by SU, but now faces the termination of its COE grant at the end of March 2020. The purpose would be to ensure that the core research functions and partnerships of the CIB are maintained at Stellenbosch 肆客足球 and additional external funding can continue to be leveraged. Bridging funds for a three-year period will enable the CIB to leverage further third and fourth stream income.  

Stellenbosch 肆客足球 is in a unique position, as we are a well-respected partner of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft in Germany, with several collaborative research projects underway, or already completed. The main purpose of a Fraunhofer Project Centre (FPC) is to facilitate collaborative research projects between the 72 Fraunhofer Institutes and Stellenbosch 肆客足球. The FPC will be a joint venture between the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Science at Stellenbosch and, in particular, the Centre for Renewable and Sustainable Energy Studies and the Water Institute, with seven of the associated Fraunhofer Institutes within the Water Systems (SysWasser) and Energy Alliances of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft.   

This is an application for funding to establish the ARUA CoE in Energy as the flagship ARUA initiative at Stellenbosch 肆客足球. The funding applied for makes the CoE eligible to apply for significant amounts of ring-fenced external, international funding (as negotiated between ARUA and the United Kingdom Research and Innovation funding body). The funds will be used to employ a full-time Director, to initiate research and networking activities within the wider ARUA network, and to run concerted grant-writing efforts to make the Centre financially sustainable.  

The Welgevallen Renewal Plan includes:   

1. The SU-VINPRO Vineyard Project - The redevelopment of 5ha as well as 16ha of commercial vineyards, both at Welgevallen and in collaboration with Vinpro, to enhance the sustainability of the teaching and research vineyards and the wine cellar operations.
2. The SU-DE HEUS Dairy Research Project - Establishment of an advanced intensive Dairy Research Unit at Welgevallen, in collaboration with the international De Heus Group.  

This proposal is for the Stellenbosch 肆客足球 Botanical Garden upgrade, in the following areas:   

1. Consolidate propagation and outdoor growing areas into a single space, including new propagation facilities.
2. Develop new laboratory and office space within the current obsolete propagation beds building.
3. Replace garden borehole water reticulation and irrigation network, exploring opportunities to supplement with alternative sources, such as nearby basement drainage water.
4. Develop one major new display feature, the stone drip wall exhibit that will also benefit the planned restaurant upgrade.  

Stellenbosch 肆客足球 needs to ensure that we have a sustainable supply of water from various sources. The institution consumes 10% of all potable water supplied by the Stellenbosch Municipality and therefore has a major impact on the Boland region. The Ertjieskloof dam at Coetzenburg Sports Fields plays a strategic role to ensure a sustainable supply of water for these fields during the summer months. This source is also used to kill fires on the mountains and surrounding Boland areas and therefore this infrastructural asset plays an important role as part of a range of risk mitigation measures in the Stellenbosch area. l.  

One of the responsibilities and key projects of the Strategic Initiatives Division is to drive, plan and implement the process for integrating Vision 2040 and Strategic Framework 2019-2024, within and across Stellenbosch 肆客足球 (Phase 2 of the Strategic Process). Firstly, this entails the visual roll-out of its various elements across all sectors of the institution. Secondly, it focuses on creating the foundation for integrating values into the 肆客足球, through building capabilities and competence, as well as processes and structures to be embedded into the 肆客足球.  

The INTERINFO system is an information management system on comprehensive internationalisation activities and aspects. It will assist with information governance and internationalisation planning, and improve internationalisation communications and effective decision-making, thereby ensuring purposeful partnerships and inclusive networks. This system will replace the current information management tools utilised by the Centre for Partnerships and Internationalisation Support, namely an outdated ACCESS database and multiple Excel databases, and will integrate with other information management systems at SU, including the SUNStudent information system. It will be a comprehensive information management system that will address the needs of a diverse group of stakeholders and address multiple components, namely capturing and storing management information; customer relationship management; data repository; partnership development and evaluation and reporting. The INTERFINFO system will also aid effective reporting on strategic management indicators. A system such as INTERINFO will also give SU a competitive edge in the HE environment in SA and elsewhere, as no other similarly comprehensive system is currently in existence.  

In its pursuit to be an employer of choice, SU is committed to promote lifelong learning and to support its development as a learning organisation that is responsive to both individual and organisational needs. There is a need to establish a Staff Development Platform to provide mechanisms and opportunities for employees to develop skills in order to contribute to the development of their professions and careers. The platform will provide staff with information regarding training interventions and competencies linked to their approved PDPs. The platform will make provision for various online training interventions. This project will involve various stakeholders across SU, including IT, as well as environments responsible for staff development. The amount required will cover the costs for the development of the Staff Development Platform to facilitate online training programmes.   

The technology disruption of higher education – and specifically management education – has increased significantly over the past five years. At present, USB is a leader in hybrid and online learning at the 肆客足球, and also in comparison to other South African business schools. However, increasing competition from leading global business schools is lowering the opportunity cost for students. This significant threat to USB's market leadership in digitised delivery must be defended. This investment will enable USB to deploy the necessary infrastructure and develop support and academic staff to support its hybrid learning and online collaboration systems for the period 2020 – 2025.  

The Visual Redress project will guide visual changes on SU campuses, specifically through new art installations, the removal or contextualisation of historically sensitive art and other symbols, campus signage, the naming and renaming of buildings, venues and other facilities and premises, improving accessibility to facilities, etc. This will assist SU in its drive for transformation in and through visual redress. The Visual Redress project intends to inform teaching and learning at SU. Dialogue in teaching and learning environments about visual redress and its implementation is meant to elicit critical awareness about visual redress projects being undertaken on campus.   

The ACS was established in 2017 and initiated the first Joint Schools in Africa programme focusing on Emerging African Scholars in 2018. This is a natural extension of the activities first initiated by the Stellenbosch-based African Doctoral Academy (ADA) in 2016, also situated within the ACS. The aim of the Joint Schools in Africa programme is to develop emerging African scholars with strategic partners in Africa by providing affordable and quality competency-based learning on-site at partner institutions to enable and enhance scholarship development and career training. The aim is aligned with the ACS's distal, intended outcome, i.e. to contribute to the development of the continent and its people by connecting new and emerging scholars globally and creating opportunities for research and Higher Education teaching and learning development. This proposal aims to accelerate this objective, and to build on the three joint schools piloted in Kenya and Uganda, as well as the partnership with the PERIPERI School in Tanzania.  

The workload of SU's five ethics committees has grown exponentially over the past years and reached a total number of 1 621 new applications in 2018. This excludes continuing reviews, such as progress reports, amendments, serious adverse events and incidents also reviewed by the RECs and REC offices. The area of research ethics is growing equally fast in terms of complexity, which adds further to the load on RECs. Strategic funding is utilised for:  

a) The recognition of the time and accountability burden carried by REC chairs by providing central funding for their time, until this cost can be absorbed in the main budget;
b) An improved central investment into REC management across the five RECs;
c) An improved investment into training and awareness raising programmes, contributing to a culture of responsible research.  

At its meeting of 5 May 2014, Council approved a five-year funding proposal for the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Project to Enhance the Academic Offering at Stellenbosch 肆客足球. This project was aligned with the Institutional Intent and Strategy 2013-2018, with its focus on broadening access to our 肆客足球, sustaining the momentum on excellence and enhancing our societal impact. The core elements of the project included: Expanding the reach and richness of the academic offering; re-engineered student, financial and administrative processes and systems; the enabling technology and physical infrastructure and a next-generation learning and teaching centre. Council approved an investment of R218,1 million over a five-year period. This funding serves to provide the balance of funds needed for this project.  

Our current Adabas Natural in-house-developed Financial System was developed in 1989 (as old as the Internet) and has reached the end of its lifecycle. The system cannot be maintained and upgraded, as the programming language is no longer taught, resulting in a skills shortage. This funding is towards the modernisation of the financial system, its fast-tracing, prioritisation and completion.  

Our current Adabas Natural in-house-developed Student Information System (SIS) was developed in 1989 (as old as the Internet) and has reached the end of its lifecycle. The system technology is aged, skills are scarce and key development and support staff retire shortly. SU has the strategic imperative to broaden access through increased flexibility – e.g. being able to administer non-traditional courses and programmes, semesters and quarters, hybrid learning, etc. SU requires accurate, real-time data presented via user-friendly analytics and dashboards to make better informed and effective institutional decisions. Therefore, our current Student Information System will be replaced by the Academia solution, provided by Serosoft in India following a rigorous RFI and RFP selection process. It will include all the student lifecycle requirements/capabilities, and the functionality could also replace other SU systems currently used outside the central SIS system, where appropriate. It has the capability to respond to new and rapidly changing business requirements, and provide SU with improved reporting and analytics capabilities that can be executed by users themselves. The system will provide a better overall user experience for staff and students, with modern interfaces and accessibility via any electronic device that has access to the Internet.  

The development and roll-out of an institutional Brand positioning strategy, monolithic brand architecture development and refreshed/new visual identity.  

The development of a new, fit-for-purpose Stellenbosch 肆客足球 website, while also updating the corporate content of the website. The new website will be a key channel for the implementation of a new brand positioning strategy, a refreshed visual identity, as well as building, enhancing and protecting SU's reputation.  

The second portion of funding relates to the strengthening of the public relations and external communication component, capacities and abilities of SU, with a specific focus on international exposure. The creation of an enabling operating environment for MFM community radio station, as an important communication outlet, is also envisaged.  

The Stellenbosch 肆客足球 (SU) School for Data Science and Computational Thinking (DiSeCT) is the 肆客足球's concerted response to the country and continent's urgent need for more expertise in data science and computational thinking. DiSeCT's value proposition is to enhance South Africa's competitiveness in the 4th Industrial Revolution. Specifically, DiSeCT will be home to highly interdisciplinary initiatives that transcend the borders of departments and faculties, and that will span the entire academic project. Examples include, but are not limited to, developing new blended learning modules, piloting Proof of Concepts in High Performance Computing in partnership with industry partners, and establishing an in-house consulting service to support the research and development community, both at SU and beyond. This strategic high-rise project is designed to contribute to SU's positioning as a leading research-intensive university in and for Africa.  

SPL intends launching the Postgraduate Diploma in Public Financial Management (PGDipPFM – SAQA ID 71819) in 2021. This funding constitutes seed funding for the development of the PGDipPFM learning materials and an online course delivery platform, and to ensure that appropriate staff and other resources are in place for the first new intake of students in 2021. The anticipated completion date of the project is 1 January 2023.  

The Advanced Diploma was included in the initial conceptualisation and planning of the undergraduate diploma (Sustainable Development). It follows on from the three-year undergraduate diploma and is necessary for articulation from the undergraduate to the postgraduate diploma (Sustainable Development).   

The Advanced Diploma was approved by the Senate in 2019. The peer review process has been completed by the Higher Education Quality Committee. We are waiting for SAQA registration, which we anticipate by August 2020.   

This bridging funding covers curriculum development and ad hoc teaching costs until teaching subsidies are available and the contribution of student fees grows.  

This funding provides start-up capital for the structured MSc in Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), to be housed in and coordinated by the Applied Mathematics Division. This forward-thinking programme offers a practical and immediate way to place Stellenbosch 肆客足球 strategically at the forefront of a globally important research area, by delivering a large cohort of research students versed in the advanced theory and application of ML and AI. Sustainability projections suggest that the programme will become self-sustainable and capable of significant growth in its third year.  

This application is for seed funding to support a German-funded pilot project (GMCC) intended to leverage larger funding aimed at creating a comprehensive digital research database for music in Southern Africa (MUSA). Digital online catalogues, digitised sources and literature have all become common tools of research. By developing and hosting the MUSA database, which is a pioneering task, Stellenbosch 肆客足球 will have the opportunity to take the lead in positioning music scholarship in digital humanities in Southern Africa, or possibly in Africa as a whole. MUSA has the potential to become not only one of the most significant platforms for research into music in Southern Africa, but also a model for similar projects in other disciplines of the humanities.  

The town of Genadendal, with its manifold and complex historical convergences (colonisation, music history, apartheid etc.), is a most significant cultural transfer hotspot. The music collections of the Moravian Mission Museum reflect this. GMCC lends itself to serving as a pilot project for the comprehensive MUSA database. In a continuous process, MUSA will eventually grow to an online encyclopaedia of music in Southern Africa.  

The internal audit findings (Deloitte report, dated August 2016) reveal several weaknesses in our existing examination security controls. This application seeks funding to address the security and reputational risks associated with assessments via the implementation of enhanced security and process innovations. Currently, SU cannot efficiently issue secured digital academic records. Due to the current pandemic, SU is furthermore unable to issue any official academic records, due to system limitations that severely affect our client satisfaction. This application thus seeks funding to enhance security mechanisms and service delivery with the digitalisation of academic records via the implementation of a suitable digital solution.   

The funding will therefore support our risk mitigation and digitalisation efforts, while further enhancing the student experience and staff wellness. Ultimately, the funding will position SU at the forefront of innovation in this area.  

NMR Spectroscopy is crucial to all chemistry-related research. The current equipment at SU is in a dire condition, as the manufacturer of the instruments ceased its activities at NMR Spectroscopy in 2014, including the support of existing equipment. Fatal breakdown of the aged equipment is just a matter of time.  

In addition to an application to the National Equipment Programme (NEP, NRF) of R10m and agreed contributions from the Faculty of Science (R10m) and ALE funds (R10m), an investment from the Strategic Fund is required to alleviate the perilous situation of the NMR Spectroscopy facilities at Stellenbosch 肆客足球.  

Reading lists have always been an essential teaching and learning tool. However, the rise in electronic and digital material and solutions, such as learning management systems (LMS), requires a rethinking of current practices to deliver an easier, more efficient, and more trustworthy way to assemble and manage persistent resources lists; make them available to students and enable students to use them. Currently at Stellenbosch 肆客足球, most courses do not offer a comprehensive and first glance summary of all the reading lists. Some reading lists are only available in printed format, which pose challenges in the current paradigm of contactless or e-learning.  

To help students make sense of this, reading lists should be structured, annotated, and made available through the SUNLearn LMS. To this end, the Library will implement a course reading list system (Leganto) on its current infrastructure that will provide students and lecturers with online access to all course materials from within the familiar environment of SUNLearn.  

The Translational Fellow (TF) Programme is an innovative programme, which aims to increase the commercial potential and value of SU's innovation and Intellectual Property (IP) portfolio, thus increasing the impact of research performed at Stellenbosch 肆客足球 (SU), while at the same time offering recently graduated postgraduate students the opportunity to pursue an entrepreneurial growth path.  

This funding implements a TF Programme to fund postgraduate students to spend at least an additional year after graduation on advancing the maturity of early-stage innovations. The programme will increase the value of SU's innovation pipeline and increase deal flow, while enabling innovations to be commercialised faster by addressing important challenges in the commercialisation process.   

The proposed Lecture Series focuses on Research for impact, Networked and collaborative teaching and learning, and Purposeful partnerships and inclusive networks. It stems from the HOPE Project Food Security Initiative, which gave rise to the interdisciplinary Food and Nutrition MSc programmes and research projects within the Southern Africa Food Lab. The footprint will extend across the faculties of the AgriSciences, Economic and Management Sciences and Medicine and Health Sciences and with public and private sector organisations across Africa.   

It will take the form of a high-level, dialogued lecture series, where innovations are identified and realised through stakeholder engagement and continued participation, thereby ensuring access to this knowledge through its outreach and communication activities. It will convene thought leaders to steer dialogue and ensure continuity through development of workshops and short courses of strategic importance.  

In 2021, the SU Faculty of Law commemorates its centenary. As part of this celebration, the Faculty will host the African Human Rights Moot Court Competition, to showcase its commitment to transformation, diversity and human rights. This high-profile event will bring 250 African scholars, students, judges and law practitioners to Stellenbosch.   

The Moot Competition is a high-level, strategic project which promotes all six strategic goals set out in Vision 2040. It offers a unique opportunity for SU to contribute to the broader human rights education on the continent and will have a lasting impact on SU's African networks.  

SU Techpreneurship Centre seeks to harness synergies that exist between Technology and Entrepreneurship. The SU Techpreneurship Centre will leverage Stellenbosch 肆客足球's expertise in Data Science & Business Incubation to promote entrepreneurial activities by providing students with a pragmatic learning environment. This will allow them to develop skills and provide secure job placement into companies upon graduation.  

The SU School for Data Science and Computational Thinking will support and develop a coding programme, while the SU LaunchLab will focus on entrepreneurship, innovation and business fundamentals through its incubation programme. The result will be an inspiring, pragmatic, entrepreneurial initiative for all SU students.  

Funds are provided for infrastructure development to establish a hydrogeology field-course. The proposal is in line with the country's immediate need for practically skilled personnel for sustainable utilisation and management of progressively scarce water resources in a changing climate scenario and is a part of departmental strategy to expand offerings in geo-environmental sciences. The proposed field-course will make our programme internationally competitive and will develop research and teaching synergies among academic and industry stakeholders.  

肆客足球 and the move to ERTLA and ARTLA highlighted the crucial importance of assessment, the challenges and risks associated with it, as well as the huge benefits for students if lecturers get it right.   

This project seeks support from the strategic fund for a three-year project to prioritise and fast track changes in culture and practices through a scholarly, systemic approach aligned with the principles of the new Assessment Policy (2021).  

As the Strategic Commercial Projects Unit within SunCom, Innovus has identified the need to establish a central sponsorship office for SU, with the objective of becoming the central point of contact, facilitation and complete management of all sponsorship-related matters and activity in Stellenbosch 肆客足球. The Project aims to optimise sponsorship as a valued commercial contributor to SU's fifth income stream, while mitigating all associated reputational, financial and other risks for SU.  

The annual SU Open Day is a university-wide marketing event that recruits prospective students for undergraduate studies and kick-starts the application cycle. Usually (prior to the pandemic) this was an on-campus event, but in 2021 due to the 肆客足球 pandemic it was presented online. The online Open Day was a huge success, reaching double the number of students from across the globe. From 2022 SU will be following a hybrid approach to the Open Day, presenting an on-campus event, together with an online event. This bridging funding is to allow the hybrid Open Day structure to take root, over the next three years.   

Entrepreneurism will be a factor in determining the success or failure of Africa. Stellenbosch 肆客足球 has a unique opportunity to transform itself into Africa's leading entrepreneurial hub by investing in a collaborative proposal between the 肆客足球 of Stellenbosch Business School, Innovus and Stellenbosch 肆客足球.   

SU can be Africa's hub for entrepreneurial research, innovation, teaching, investment and start-up success by undertaking the following actions: Coordinating the numerous entrepreneurial activities, creating a 肆客足球 Start-up Lab ("USL"), and utilising Strategic Funding A as 'seed funding' to define a viable and sustainable business model for the coordinated entrepreneurism effort across campus.  

This proposal constitutes a capital investment towards the establishment of a dedicated E-Sport and gaming venue as the primary base from which to pursue strategic institutional E-Sport and related initiatives. This initiative represents a collaborative effort between Innovus and Maties Sport and aims to capitalise on the potential that E-Sports hold with regards to the delivery of specific institutional objectives.  

SU has recognised institutional expertise in the domain of plant health and crop protection (i.e. plant pathology, microbiology, virology, entomology and weed science). Plant disease diagnostic services form part of the offering of most leading agriculture faculties worldwide, in association with training and research programmes.   

The Plant Disease Clinic of the Department of Plant Pathology presents an opportunity to develop a self-sustained, commercial service centre, in collaboration with leading industry partners. The proposed expansion and commercialisation of the Plant Disease Clinic would require relocation from the main campus (Lombardi Building) to re-purposed facilities at the Paul van der Bijl laboratory at Welgevallen.  

The aim with the establishment of the School for Climate Studies is to create a transdisciplinary academic capacity, for intellectual and applied synthesis between the climate-related knowledge systems of the faculties of SU. The potential role of SU has been recognised in the Global Alliance of Universities on Climate, which brings together a small group of leading universities around the globe. The purpose is to coordinate and integrate the various activities in this area at SU and provide a platform for collaborative learning and research, as well as the generation of knowledge.  

SACEMA has a 15-year history of excellence, inclusivity and innovation, and provides a world-class environment within Africa for learning, research and impact in the field of Epidemiological Modelling and Analysis.   

This allocation's purpose, for SACEMA, is to:  

a) transition from a DSI-NRF National Centre of Excellence to a Stellenbosch 肆客足球 Type II Centre,
b) reposition itself within the new School for Data Science and Computational Thinking, and
c) reconfigure its funding model from reliance on core funding from a single institution to a diversified portfolio of funded projects.  

Joining a global trend, Stellenbosch 肆客足球 has invested significantly in building capacity in the sustainability arena as part of its overall goal of positioning itself as the leading, globally recognised, research-intensive university on the African continent.   

This application requests funding to support the development of a coherent set of postgraduate training programmes to support and leverage this research strength and strategic advantage. This is similar to inter- and transdisciplinary postgraduate training programmes in sustainability being developed by other leading international research universities.  

This new programme will build on existing PGDip, MPhil and PhD programmes at the CST, and aims to develop, reposition and brand these programmes in the fast-emerging and highly policy-relevant sustainability transitions field.   

The programme will be located within the new Type 2 Centre for Sustainability Transitions (CST) within EMS, but aims to serve a number of sustainability-oriented units across campus, including the newly created School for Climate Studies.  

This initiative will establish, solidify and promote a research footprint at Stellenbosch 肆客足球 in the new and exciting field of green (renewable) hydrogen engineering, including the production, storage and transportation, utilisation and system integration of green hydrogen. While hydrogen as a field of study is well established, the interest in specifically green hydrogen production, as a crucial part in the pathway to decarbonisation, has elicited major interest recently. Therefore, the Stellenbosch 肆客足球 Green Hydrogen Engineering Research Platform seeks to establish a reputation and become internationally connected in the research into green hydrogen engineering and leverage funding, by participating actively in international funding calls.  

Stellenbosch 肆客足球 Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform is in urgent need of renewal. The existing platform is at risk from:   

1) cyber security exploitation,
2) lack of functional capacity through legacy SIS replacement, and
3) inadequate third party management.   

The IAM System provides access to the 肆客足球 for 5 000 HR staff members, 5 049 third party appointments, 32 189 active full degree enrolments, 6 232 short course participants and over 210 000 alumni. IAM touches in some way or form every end user, business processes and information systems, applications and infrastructure components. IAM's reach is therefore extensive. For the 肆客足球 to realise its digital aspirations, IAM is a key enabler.  

The MaRooN (Maties Risk of Non-communicable disease) Health Passport is an interactive tool identified by the 肆客足球 and its Institutional Committee for Health and Wellbeing to assess health and wellbeing and, through embedded algorithms, facilitate early interventions in the staff and student population of SU across all campuses.   

It will simultaneously help create a safer environment on campus and further the strategic aims of SU. This initiative also fulfils a secondary role of a powerful, longitudinal research and educational tool, enabling investigators to assess whether NCD-related risk profiles differ between the respective cohorts, and allowing for the evaluation of the efficacy of interventions and changes in the overall health landscape of the SU campus over time.  

Innovus is recognised as a top TTO in Africa. Local and international universities and other organisations regularly approach the Innovus TTO to engage on best practices, request assistance with personnel training, and provide services related to innovation, commercialisation and technology transfer. This interest demonstrates the commercial potential for establishing a spinout to commercialise the Innovus IP and tools, similar to Oxentia, established by Oxford 肆客足球 Innovation.   

The project aims to:   

1) Commercialise Innovus's technology transfer IP and tools; and
2) Enable local and international universities, science councils, and private organisations that currently lack innovation, commercialisation and technology transfer expertise, to upskill their staff and establish the processes and competencies required for successful innovation, commercialisation and technology transfer.   

The overarching objectives for the project are:   

1. Developing a product and service offering based on Innovus's IP and tools.
2. Offering the product and service offering to clients.
3. Establishing a ringfenced business unit to commercialise the product and service offering. This may take the form of a spinout company.
4. Building the business unit into a sustainable and scalable business.
