Performance Advancement
???????????????
????????Performance Advancement (PA) is the process where staff engage with their managers to assess and review key responsibilities, expectations, performance outcomes and professional development. They must also annually enter into a Performance Work Plan (PWP) which is essential to achieve institutional and individual success at Stellenbosch 肆客足球.
Staff set clear objectives in the context of their role with direct links to the Key Performance Areas (KPAs) and the university's strategic direction, requirements and goals. This ensures that the university meets its strategic objectives and recognise and reward top performers who significantly contribute to the institutional goals of the university.
The PA process consists of four components:
- Role-specific Key Performance Areas
- Transformation-linked objectives??
- Values-linked objectives
- Personal Development Plan (PDP)
The Performance Work Plan (PWP) is formally reviewed both mid-year and annually. These engagements are updated on the staff member’s Performance Advancement (PA) record. The mid-year review serves to assess the PWP, update goals and objectives as needed and to provide support to ensure timely PWP achievement.
The PA process will take effect from January 2026. More information related to this process will be shared in due course and this website will be updated regularly.
