Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Pledge Ceremonies
The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences will host its pledge ceremony for undergraduate Health Sciences, MBChB and Nursing graduands and those graduating with a BScHons in Biokinetics on Monday, 24 March 2025.

As a graduand, you are welcome to invite four guests to your pledge ceremony.
Academic attire for the FMHS pledge ceremony
It is compulsory that graduands wear a black academic gown for the FMHS Pledge Ceremony. Please note that no hoods are required for the pledge ceremony. Hoods are only required for graduation.
To hire your black academic gown, please contact supplier Dippenaar & Reinecke at 012 343 2945/7 or admin@diprei.com. The academic attire can be collected and returned at the below venues:

Photography
Our official photographers, the Stellenbosch Centre for Photographic Services (SCPS), will take photographs as the scroll is handed to you and when you sign the pledge book. ?
Whilst we will not be able to accommodate private photographers during the pledge ceremony, you and your guests are welcome to take photographs at the pledge book after the conclusion of the ceremony.
