Standard Bank Lab Research Chair
?The School for Data Science and Computational Thinking launched in July 2019 with a vision to be a world-class institution for data science and computational thinking in and for Africa. Its mission includes facilitating collaborative research, offering modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, and attracting both private and public funds to stimulate data science and computational thinking-related research at the 肆客足球. To achieve the School's ambitious vision, Standard Bank has sponsored a virtual laboratory at the School. This Research Chair will focus on recommender systems, building capacity in machine learning, and applying data science for social impact. The Chair works with all the faculties involved with the School to undertake research in the areas specified by the Standard Bank laboratory's steering committee.
