3rd DSI-Africa Consortium Meeting in Kigali, Rwanda (5 - 9 November 2023)
AS PI of the REDSSA project and one of three ELSI groups, Prof Moodley was invited to speak at the third meeting of the DS-I Africa Consortium in Kigali, Rwanda. Her presentation titled “A Tragedy of the Commons: The Ethics of Responsibility in Big Data” was well-received by the audience and generated important discussions among the delegates, many of whom were data scientists. Our REDSSA research team: Nezerith Cengiz, Qunita Brown and Siti Kabanda presented two posters based on empirical research conducted with REC members and researchers in sub-Saharan Africa.
