?????????????????????Our research group is dedicated to unraveling the hidden mycobacterial biochemistry involved in the interaction between mycobacteria and hosts. By focusing on these intricate molecular mechanisms, we aim to uncover novel strategies for preventative and therapeutic interventions, with the ultimate goal of combatting tuberculosis (TB) and improving human health.

??Tuberculosis remains a significant global health challenge and understanding the complex interplay between Mtb and the immune system is crucial for developing effective interventions. While classical immune cells such as macrophages and T cells have been extensively studied, we recognize the emerging importance of non-classical immune cells in the host response to Mtb infection. Our research aims to shed light on the unique mycobiochemical processes associated with these cells and their contribution to disease outcomes. By targeting these unique biochemical pathways, we strive to develop novel therapeutics that can be used alongside conventional treatments or as standalone interventions.
