Thank you for your interest in the SciMathUS university preparation programme.
SciMathUS is a selection programme with very specific entry requirements.

? Prospective students should be in Grade 12 in 2024 or have matriculated in 2023 (Those who matriculated before 2023 do not qualify for consideration).
? You should have passed at least four subjects from the group of subjects designated for university;
? have a Grade 12 average of at least 60% (excluding Life Orientation); and,
? have obtained a minimum of 50% in Afrikaans or English (Home Language or First Additional Language).
? You should have obtained a minimum of 45% in Mathematics and a minimum of 45% in Physical Sciences.
NO STUDENTS WITH MATHEMATICAL LITERACY WILL BE ACCEPTED.
? You should also submit evidence that you have been educationally disadvantaged (either financially, by your school and/or home circumstances).
? Voornemende studente moet in 2024 in Graad 12 wees of in 2023 matriek geslaag het. Diegene wat voor 2023 gematrikuleer het, sal nie vir die program oorweeg word nie.
? Jy moet ten minste vier vakke uit die lys van aangewese universiteitstoelatingsvakke geslaag het;
? ‘n Graad 12 gemiddeld van ten minste 60% behaal het; (Lewensori?ntering uitgesluit); en
? Ten minste 50% in Afrikaans of Engels (Huistaal of Eerste Addisionele Taal) behaal het.
? Vir toelating moet jy ten minste 45% in Wiskunde en ten minste 45% in Fisiese Wetenskappe behaal het.
GEEN STUDENTE MET WISKUNDIGE GELETTERDHEID SAL AANVAAR WORD NIE.
? Jy moet verder bewys lewer dat jy uit 'n opvoedkundig-benadeelde omgewing afkomstig is (hetsy finansie?l, deur jou skool en/of huislike omstandighede).
