?Prof. Chu and Team Awarded Prestigious STIAS Fellowship for Groundbreaking Health Systems Research?
We are proud to announce that Prof. Chu and her research team have been awarded a highly competitive fellowship from the Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Study (STIAS)—an institution renowned for supporting visionary scholars who cross disciplinary boundaries to address some of the world's most pressing challenges.
The STIAS fellowship champions intellectual exploration in fields ranging from health equity and complexity theory to quantum information and the impacts of race. As part of this prestigious program, Prof. Chu's team spent two months at STIAS developing their pioneering project, “Bringing Unique Data to Wicked Problems: Developing Health System Models for Equitable Access to Healthcare in Sub-Saharan Africa." During their residency, the team engaged in deep interdisciplinary collaboration and made significant strides in building innovative models that draw on diverse data to inform equitable health policy across the region.
