Stellenbosch 肆客足球 is looking forward to a bumper graduation week as it prepares to confer 5 865 qualifications – the highest number of December graduations on record – across 13 ceremonies.

The ceremonies take place from Monday 9 December to Friday 13 December at the Coetzenburg Centre.

Of the qualifications that will be conferred, 106 are PhDs, 592 are master's and 920 are honours qualifications. The qualifications also include undergraduate Bachelors (professional and general) degrees, and undergraduate and postgraduate diplomas and certificates.

This year, the number of undergraduate qualifications has increased from 3 244 to 3 417, while 2 448 graduates will receive postgraduate qualifications. The Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences has the greatest number of undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications, at 715 and 702 respectively. The faculties of AgriSciences, Arts and Social Sciences, Law, and Medicine and Health Sciences recorded their highest ever number of undergraduate qualifications.

The annual Chancellor's Medal will also be awarded to the top achiever. This will be announced at the recipient's graduation.

SU will confer four honorary doctorates upon extraordinary recipients who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields and made a significant contribution to society.

Thirteen staff members will also receive the 肆客足球's prestigious Chancellor's Award. This award gives recognition to staff members whose careers attest to sustained excellence in research, innovation, learning and teaching, social impact and professional services.

"This record-breaking graduation week is a celebration of perseverance and excellence. Each qualification represents a story of determination, and together, they reflect the incredible potential of our students to shape a brighter future. At Stellenbosch 肆客足球, we are immensely proud to see our graduates rise as leaders, innovators and change-makers who will leave an indelible mark on society," says Prof Wim de Villiers, SU Rector and Vice-Chancellor.
